Importers Judging Wines

A new approach to wine tasting and wine promotion

kieliszki_choice.png

The Awards have been conceived as a way to support wine producers in their attempts to introduce their labels into the Polish market.

During a time of pandemic-related lockdowns, with most wine fairs cancelled and much more effort required to reach individual importers and distributors, we offer a way to present wine samples to some dozens of the most recognisable Polish importing companies at once.

Their representatives will taste and score your wines not only to appreciate their objective quality, but also to evaluate the extent to which they live up to the needs of the Polish market and Polish customers.

The wines will get a general quality score on a 100-point scale in blind tasting, and will be sorted according to the number of stars (* to *****) in four different price ranges:

<EUR 3.5

<EUR 7

<EUR 12

<EUR 18

>EUR 18

The final number of stars may be increased by one if a wine is selected to the group of the 10 percent best presenting bottles of the show. This selection will be completed after the blind tasting and will not affect the initial quality score.

On the web, in print and at the fair

The scores and wine descriptions will be published on the Awards website and in the  printed version of the annual Awards magazine Przewodnik po najlepszych winach konkursu

(A Guide to the Best Wines of the Awards).

The magazine will be delivered free to approx. 100 Polish wine importing companies and distributed at the biggest Polish wine fair, Enoexpo (November 2022).
